RCCB

    The RCCB, as an advanced electrical safety device, combines the functionalities of a Residual Current Device (RCD) and a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB). It is designed to detect any imbalance in the current flowing through the circuit and, in the event of a fault, such as a leakage current or an electrical short, it immediately trips the circuit, disconnecting the power supply. This rapid disconnection helps prevent potential electrical hazards, such as electric shock or fire, from occurring.

RCCB

    The working principle of an RCCB is based on the Kirchhoff's Current Law, which states that the sum of currents entering a node or a closed loop is equal to the sum of currents leaving that node or loop. In an RCCB, the current flowing through the live wire is continuously monitored and compared with the current returning through the neutral wire. In the event of a fault, where there is a difference in these currents, indicating a leakage current, the RCCB triggers its trip mechanism and disconnects the power supply.
